Louie Danner Inducted into Muscatine County Cattleman’s Association Hall of Fame

Updated: Jun 14, 2019

Louie found his way for the love of cattle like many young farm boys through FFA and 4-H. He loved to work with cattle, but working for the late Bill Anderson, his first mentor, showing cattle got him hooked.

As a young farmer, he chose his seed stock very carefully. Louie went on to show many champions locally and nationwide. He sold high-quality seed stock and 4-H projects throughout the country.

His fitting abilities caught the eye of many high cattle operations throughout the U.S. and Canada. For three decades or more he was known as one of the top fitters in the country. He helped many top operations win National Shows throughout the county. He also judged many fairs, and high quality shows for many years.

He sparked the interest in the cattle business onto his children and grandchildren. Although he is now watching from the sidelines, he keeps up with what’s new at the barn and enjoys what is going on in the show ring.
